Congratulations Kiaus!

The Rockhounds want to congratulate Kiaus Lalonde on making the Welland Generals Jr. B lacrosse team as a goalie!

Having been a steadying presence in net since he first donned the pads, his Rockhounds career peaked these past two seasons as he helped guide the U22 team to back to back provincial championships. His hard work, dedication and skill have paid off and we are so proud of his achievement.

Kiaus' commitment to the sport and continued involvement with the local club truly showcases his passion for lacrosse. While moving on from the U22 team this year, he will still remain a coach with one of our U13 teams.

Here's to many more success stories and memorable moments ahead. Go Kiaus go!

Comedy Fundraiser

The Rockhounds packed the house at Cousin Vinny’s on Saturday night for a comedy night fundraiser! The food was great, the comedians were hilarious and we had some very lucky winners take home door prizes and Rockhounds swag! Congrats to our two winners - Melodie Kulson and Andrew Whitehouse!

A special thank you goes out to Cousin Vinny's Restaurant & Bar for running an excellent event and supporting the Rockhounds!  Stay tuned for future fundraisers to support your Rockhounds!

Championship Dinner

Members of the U22 B Provincial Championship team celebrated their second championship in as many years with some new hardware at Peppi's Ristorante & Lounge.

After a well deserved celebration, members of the squad were already preparing for next year with a practice in Hanmer as they set their sights on a threepeat.

With the provincials completed, another Rockhounds season has drawn to a close.

Great memories were made across all divisions with the following highlights:

U22s winning the Provincial Championships & silver in Gloucester

U11s winning silver in Orillia

U15s winning silver in Stayner

U7s putting together their first ever tournament team

The strides that were taken this year couldn't happen without the development that took place in our house league program.  All players showed a tremendous amount of heart, hard work and dedication and we just wish we could spotlight you all.

We want to ensure that we thank our volunteers, coaches and referees who facilitated player enjoyment and development, as well as the parents & guardians who ensured every player could enjoy our great sport.

Stay tuned for information on when our AGM will be, but in the meantime, take a look back on some of the highlights from the past year!
